AYUDH Pune Science of Spirituality Phase 1 Post 2

The activities of the “Science of Spirituality” course for AYUDH Pune continued to share practical principles rooted in Sanatana Dharma, further deepening and broadening the learnings from earlier sessions.

Revisiting the teachings of Karma Yoga, the session expanded on how efficient, selfless action can be applied in the modern world. The AYUDHians were introduced to inspiring modern-day examples who embody Karma Yoga in their daily lives, demonstrating that these ancient principles remain fully relevant today.

To deepen this understanding, the group watched a touching video on Amma as the living embodiment of Karma Yoga. Through her tireless compassion and selfless service, Amma demonstrates how spiritual principles can be expressed through every action, every day.

Participants took part in an interactive game designed to reveal how all beings are interconnected. Despite differences in background, personality, or beliefs, there is a unifying essence shared by everyone. This activity helped them experience and reflect on the core truth of Sanatana Dharma: that divinity pervades all of creation.

The next days then moved into the theme of true happiness. Participants discussed how real joy arises from a calm and content mind, not merely from fulfilling desires, and the importance of differentiating between need and greed. A fun activity reinforced this idea by illustrating the balance between outer achievements and inner peace, and the value of possessing only what is necessary.

To conclude Phase 1 of the course, the participants were introduced to the concept of the Purusharthas—the four aims of life that offer a holistic framework for meaningful living. This final segment encouraged every AYUDHian to look within and grow, setting the stage for the upcoming continuation of the Science of Spirituality journey.
