Awaken Youth;
Unite for Dharma
Empowering Youth, Transforming Communities—Leading the Way for Harmony, Justice, and Change.
What is AYUDH
On September 1, 1985, inspired by the vision of Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi—lovingly known as Amma—AYUDH was born as the international youth wing of the Mata Amritanandamayi Math. AYUDH, which means "peace" in Sanskrit, empowers youth to live by the universal values of Sanatana Dharma—love, compassion, and selfless service. Guided by Amma, AYUDH helps young people develop inner strength while actively working to create a more harmonious world. The dove in its logo symbolizes this peaceful mission. With Amma’s inspiration, AYUDH continues to awaken changemakers who lead with empathy, unity, and purpose—shaping a brighter future for all.

AYUDH India engages youth across 23 states with 14,000+ volunteers, driving social service, environmental action, and leadership programs to support positive change nationwide.

Today’s youth are the pillars of tomorrow’s world. The young have the potential to make great change in the world. We should channel their energy towards a good cause. If our youth arise and act, they have the strength and dynamism to generate a huge transformation in society
