AYUDH Kolkata visit to Amritapuri 2
On Day 2, the AYUDH Kolkata team had the wonderful opportunity to visit Amma’s Rudraksha and Tulsi gardens. The AYUDHians listened to miraculous experiences shared by the caretakers and learned how Amma inspires everyone to love and serve Nature.
They also visited Amritapuri’s waste management center to understand the recycling process. The AYUDHians were deeply inspired to see how the ashram puts Amma’s teachings into practice—sorting waste responsibly and conserving precious natural resources. They even had an interactive session with the Office of Youth Empowerment Team at Amritapuri.
And of course, no visit to Amritapuri is complete without a bit of adventure! A refreshing boat ride across the serene backwaters, with cool breezes, laughter, and playful splashes, added the perfect fun twist to the day.
Evenings were pure magic—meditation, satsang, and bhajans. The most special moment came when AYUDH Kolkata performed bhajans right in front of Amma and even received the blessing to offer Arati, truly the highlight of the visit.
In between all these activities, there was plenty of joyful bonding—beach walks, delicious food, seva, and long conversations with Amma’s senior devotees who shared deeply inspiring stories.
But above all, the most transformative experience was Amma’s Darshan—a moment of pure love and connection that words can hardly capture.
“My visit to Amritapuri touched my heart deeply,” said Shiaa Shaw, an active AYUDH member from Heramba Chandra College, Kolkata. “Meeting Amma felt like discovering a deeper purpose in life. When I hugged her, tears flowed—whether of sorrow or release, I don’t know, but I felt completely weightless. Practising bhajans with the AYUDH team was pure bliss, and the love and kindness everywhere moved me beyond words.”

Visiting Amrita University and seeing knowledge and spirituality unite was inspiring. Amma’s Darshan felt like pure love, and offering Aarti was unforgettable. I return home uplifted, grateful, and filled with divine grace.”For AYUDH Kolkata, Amritapuri wasn’t just a place to visit. It was an experience to remember.
