AYUDH Kolkata SOS Phase 1

The foundational course on Sanatana Dharma, “Science of Spirituality,” was launched in Kolkata for AYUDH members of Amrita Vidyalayam, Kolkata. The inauguration was led by Brahmacharini Amritatmika Chaitanya and Brahmacharini Niseema from the AYUDH National Coordination Team, Ms.Priya Nair, Principal of Amrita Vidyalayam, and Ms.Athira Aravind, Program Manager from the Office of Youth Empowerment, Amrita University.

Aimed at building a strong spiritual foundation, the course is designed to help AYUDH members develop clarity of thought, inner resilience, and a sense of purpose, while understanding how spiritual principles can be integrated into everyday living.

The initiative began with an orientation session that introduced participants to the course framework and facilitated registrations, leading to the participation of 95 students. The sessions that followed were conducted in an interactive and experiential manner, featuring activities, games, group work, and collaborative exercises that enhanced engagement and learning.

Discussions focusing on present-day youth challenges and patterns of overthinking, drawn from real-life contexts, enabled participants to connect spiritual concepts with their own experiences. These conversations highlighted the practical relevance of Sanatana Dharma in addressing life’s various challenges.

Quizzes and guided reflection exercises encouraged deeper self-inquiry, while stories and insights shared by Amma motivated students to internalize and apply these teachings, fostering balanced, compassionate, and purposeful living.
