AYUDH Kolkata Celebrating Earth Day

On the sacred occasion of Mother Earth Day 2025, AYUDH Kolkata came together in a spirit of devotion and environmental responsibility to conduct a Clean-Up Drive around Amma’s Brahmasthanam Temple premises, and the nearby road. This selfless act was more than a clean-up, it was an offering of love and respect to Mother Earth and to Amma, who inspires us to live in harmony with nature.

Amma’s says “The cleanliness we see on the outside should be reflected within. When we clean our environment, it also helps cleanse our mind.” Guided by Amma’s vision, AYUDHians took up this seva not just to remove waste, but to spread awareness, cultivate inner purity, and inspire others to care for their surroundings.

Cleaning temple premises is not just an act of physical hygiene but a sacred offering that reflects inner purity and devotion. Temples are spaces of divine energy, and maintaining their cleanliness honours the sanctity of the place and the presence of the Divine. When we care for the temple environment, we show reverence not only to God but also to Mother Nature, reinforcing the truth that cleanliness is next to godliness.

AYUDH volunteers participated with such joy, energy, and respect for nature and took the promise to continue to walk Amma’s path of selfless service and environmental harmony.
