AYUDH Kolkata Celebrating Amma's Birthday 2025

On Amma’s 72nd birthday, AYUDH Kolkata chose to celebrate by walking in Amma’s footsteps—through service. The members reached out to the families of Sampa Mirza Nagar Slum Colony, Rampur, Kolkata, and distributed food packets with love and care.

Amma has always guided us, “Children, don’t miss a single opportunity you get to serve others.” With these words in their hearts, the AYUDHians experienced the joy that comes only from giving. Many shared that this simple act of service brought them a sense of peace and happiness far greater than they had expected.

“We had the privilege of distributing food to the people in the slum community on Amma's birthday, and it turned out to be such a heartwarming experience. Seeing their smiles and excitement reminded us how small acts of kindness can bring immense joy. Grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to more such initiatives,” said Drishti Keshri, a CA student and senior AYUDH member of Kolkata.

Another senior member of AYUDH Kolkata, Shivam Kumar Gupta, a B.Com student of AJC Bose College, shared, “It was a great opportunity and a pleasant experience for us, and truly a blessing from Amma on Her birthday.”

“It was really heartwarming to see the children of the slum enjoying their food and even sharing it with their parents. I wish to be a part of such initiatives and get more opportunities to continue these thoughtful acts of kindness, which bring peace and joy to our hearts,” said Shagun Mishra from AYUDH Kolkata.

What began as a small gesture of compassion became a profound reminder that true celebration lies in sharing and caring for others. For AYUDH Kolkata, this seva was not only a tribute to Amma but also a step towards building a more compassionate world.
