AYUDH Bhubaneshwar Amritapuri visit 2026 Day 1

AYUDH members from Bhubaneswar, who completed the “Science of Spirituality” course, embarked on a heartfelt journey to Amritapuri to seek the blessings of Amma. In Sanatana Dharma, visiting an ashram is not merely about seeing a new place; it is an opportunity to enter a space where spirituality is lived every day. In the presence of a living Master, seekers are given the opportunity to move beyond simply learning about spirituality and begin to experience it as a way of life.

On Day 1, the AYUDHians arrived with curiosity and openness, gradually settling into the serene rhythm of their new surroundings. They were taken on a tour of Amritapuri, visiting sacred spaces such as the Kali Temple and Amma’s birthplace. Walking through these places, listening to the stories connected to them, and simply taking in the atmosphere offered them a glimpse into the depth of the ashram’s history and spiritual significance. Many found themselves naturally becoming quieter, more attentive, and inward.

They also participated in an engaging yoga and meditation session. There was laughter, a few playful challenges, and plenty of shared moments, while at the same time, they began to experience how these practices can bring greater focus, balance, and awareness.

Embracing the spirit of seva, the AYUDHians joyfully took part in activities such as vegetable cutting and assisting at the seva desk. Through these simple acts of service, they discovered that even the smallest tasks, when performed with sincerity and love, can bring a deep sense of fulfilment.

Perhaps what stood out most was how the day made them feel. Nothing dramatic had to happen. Instead, the changes were subtle yet meaningful. Many shared that they felt more peaceful, less restless, and more present. Some noticed themselves thinking less and observing more, while others experienced a sense of belonging—a feeling that they could simply be themselves without any pressure or expectations.

There were, of course, plenty of lighter moments too—taking photos together, walking around the ashram, sharing meals, laughing, and simply spending time as a group. These little moments added warmth and joy to their first day and made the experience all the more memorable.

Day 1 was a gentle beginning to a journey that would unfold through learning, service, reflection, and moments of deep connection.

Stay tuned for more glimpses from their journey as we share the stories from the next two days in Amritapuri!
